Our clients’ proprietary crystalline waterproofing products are manufactured, stocked, sold and supported under license. For more than 50 years, and in over 90 countries, this ground-breaking technology has been protecting concrete infrastructures.

Across the globe, in every challenging climate and diverse construction situation, this technology has been tested and proven in thousands of applications. Today, it sets the standard of exacting excellence in its field and continues to be specified and applied in more and more major concrete applications.

Our client is entering an exciting growth phase and is looking to recruit an Area Sales Manager to cover markets in Africa and the Middle East.

You’ll be based at the company head quarters in Worcestershire. The role is office based (no working from home), with a travel expectation of travel to Africa or the Middle East on a monthly basis. Each trip last 5 days usually, Monday to Friday. You’ll need to live within a daily commutable distance of Malvern.

We’re looking for a person who has a proven sales record from a wide range of possible backgrounds. The product range is specialised, but we are not looking for an expert in these concrete waterproofing chemicals. You’ll ideally have some experience in building products, but this is not a prerequisite.

You’ll be working with a professional friendly team and enjoy a “can do” culture.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has international selling experience, or is prepared to undertake sales trips to Africa and the Middle East as a new career challenge.
  • Has problem solving and strategic thinking ability.
  • Has the ability and willingness to travel to the regions.
  • Can understand and communicate the organisations values, processes and strategies through collaboration and presentations.
  • Can monitor supply and demand, competitor offers and costs to determine and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Can create programmes to improve customer loyalty.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • French language skills to business level, not essential, just “nice to have!”
  • Experience in Africa and the Middle East, not essential, just “nice to have!”
  • Experience of B2B and partnership sales
  • Knowledge of the construction sector

In return you will receive a competitive salary, annual discretionary bonus, pension, 20 days holiday plus Christmas shutdown (typically 3 or 4 days), plus the 8 UK bank holidays.
