Vacancy: Branch Manager - flooring

An opportunity to join a reputable and well-established London flooring sales organisation with branches in various locations in the capital.

You'll be experienced in the retail / commercial flooring sales sector with a sales track record based from a showroom. You'll also have team management experience.

Here is the job description:

Job Purpose:

  • To maximise sales of retail and commercial floor products with a defined customer base in order to assist the achievement of sales targets, budget and strategy (sales plan).
  • To act as an effective channel of communication between the sales territory and company.
  • To optimise the use of expense in developing sales.
  • To present the company in front of all customer types in line with company operating principles, to provide superior customer service and to build business network.
  • To achieve own local sales goals and budgets.
  • To manage a small team
  • To help implementing new strategies for faster growth in market share.
  • To manage a busy showroom

Principal Activities:

  • Create annual local part of regional business plan to fulfil budget and growth targets.
  • Take responsibility in local planning of (marketing) actions, customer meetings and prescription meetings, promotions, product launches, exhibitions.
  • Visit A & D and organisations that form the route to market.
  • Major project management.
  • Full control on CRM system.
  • Create a business development plan for the local territory.
  • Respond and follow up to price inquiries.
  • Reports business activities on a monthly basis.
  • Support the regional team with good behaviour and fresh ideas for success in regional targets and efficient use of available time.
  • Take responsibility of managing the local claims in the most customer satisfaction way and to minimize the cost to company.
  • Identify and report trends and evolutions in the market, both on a technical and aesthetical focus.

  • Take guidance from Sales Manager and Directors.
  • Work as part of a Local sales team.

  • Architect & designers.
  • All organisations that form the construction industry route to market.

Educational/Vocational training

  • Bachelor’s Commercial degree or 4 years of equivalent level work experience.
  • High degree of self-motivation.
  • A creative team player.
  • Excellent PC skills.
     
  • Practical Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience
  • Flooring business (related) experience, competitor knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage the accounts and build relationships.
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management.

The Manager is encouraged to assist in Commercial sales which can further supplement income, of which 15% of the profit goes to the Manager.

*Working hours are 9am - 5pm Mon - Fri and 9.30am - 2.30pm Sat, though flexibility to gain sales is encouraged.
