Our client is a well-regarded challenger brand of quality luxury vinyl tile (LVT) with a breadth of styling to transform any living space. This range is our clients sole LVT brand with a wealth of development and investment planned. It provides quality, choice and availability to Independent Retailers and Contractors across the UK. This is all underpinned by an in-house distribution fleet and dedicated product development / marketing teams.
About the Role: We are looking for a National Sales Manager to take the Brand onto the next phase of development and drive both external and internal sales.
You will inherit a small customer base of key Independent customers to personally service and responsibility for driving sales through Group Distribution and Trade Counters.
Your role will be to identify new and existing customers’ potential and leveraging opportunities to grow sales with existing products. You will launch our new ranges into external and internal customers. There will be scope to investigate and implement sales into new routes to market that sit outside of current customers.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
Being the principal contact for all LVT business. The true ‘Brand Champion’.
Managing your personal customers to deliver sales revenue targets.
Working with key Group Distribution Sales / Buying contacts to inform, inspire and service their teams to increase LVT sales.
Creating a programme of sales promotions with the Trade Centre team.
Building relationships with new and existing customers; advising and influencing them to grow LVT sales. Cleverly utilising sales decks to deliver market leading presentations introducing customers to new products and ranges.
Monitor stock situation and react as necessary to ensure optimum levels and sales opportunities.
Managing customer pricing quotations and terms to protect margins while driving sales forward.
Work with Marketing on the development of POS and sales tools to meet market demands.
Seeking out and winning new opportunities and working seamlessly with the Specification Team.
Report back on any competitor activity that may affect the brand.
Maintaining regular communication with line manager and other departments as required.
Ensuring timely delivery of any customer complaints to customer service department.
We’re looking for a sales professional who shares a passion for the floor covering sector; its products and trends. You’ll need to have the tenacity, enthusiasm and positive attitude to take this amazing brand and build both excitement and commitment amongst existing and new customers.
Working to a mixture of office, home and on the road means you’ll need to be self-reliant and self-motivated, but we’d like you to be a great team player too! Our clients have a strong team ethos and encourage all colleagues to work together to provide the best experience for their customers.
In particular you’ll bring: External sales experience with a history of working to targets.
Previous experience within the UK flooring industry, smooth flooring knowledge preferred but not essential.
Individual sales success – in a retail, wholesale, distribution or other customer-facing role.
A challenger brand mindset with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Strong organisation skills and experience of working with CRM or similar systems.
A strong work ethic and a passion for exploring new opportunities to build business.
Strong numerical reasoning.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A full, clean Driving Licence.
